General

What is PixoKit? PixoKit is an AI-powered product photography app for Shopify. It generates professional product photos — background replacements, virtual try-ons, color variants, and more — directly inside your Shopify admin.

How long does image generation take? Most images are generated in 20-45 seconds, depending on the type of generation and current demand.

What image formats are supported? PixoKit accepts any image format supported by Shopify (JPEG, PNG, WebP). Generated images are delivered as high-quality JPEG or PNG.

Credits

What are credits and how do they work? Credits are the currency for AI operations. Each feature costs a set number of credits (e.g., 3 for background replacement, 5 for virtual try-on). See How Credits Work for full details.

What happens when I run out of credits? You won't be able to generate new images until your credits reset at the next billing cycle, or you upgrade to a higher plan.

Are credits refunded if generation fails? Yes. Failed generations are automatically refunded — you'll see the credits back in your balance.

Why did my generation fail? Common causes include low-resolution source images, products without images, or a temporary service issue. Credits are refunded automatically on failure. See Image Generation Failed for detailed troubleshooting steps.

How do I upgrade my plan? Go to Plans & Pricing in the app navigation, select the plan you want, and confirm. The upgrade takes effect immediately and charges are prorated. See Managing Your Subscription for full details.

Features

How accurate is the virtual try-on? Virtual try-on works best with flat-lay garment photos on plain backgrounds. Results are realistic for most standard clothing types (tops, dresses, jackets). Complex garments or heavy patterns may produce less accurate results.

Will the AI photo match my brand colors? Yes, if you set up your Brand Kit. The AI uses your brand colors and style preferences when generating backgrounds and scenes.

Can I undo a push to Shopify? PixoKit adds images to your Shopify product media — it doesn't replace existing images. To remove a pushed image, go to Shopify admin > Products > select the product > remove the image from the media section.

Account & Data

Can I use PixoKit with multiple Shopify stores? Each Shopify store installs PixoKit separately and has its own subscription and credits. There's no multi-store dashboard currently.

Is my product data safe? Yes. We only access your product catalog (titles, images) to power the AI features. Product images are fetched on-the-fly from Shopify's CDN and are not stored permanently on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What happens when I uninstall the app? Your subscription is canceled, remaining credits are forfeited, and your data is deleted within 30 days. Any images you already pushed to Shopify remain in your product media.

Export

How do I export images for Amazon or Instagram? Use the Multi-Platform Export feature. Select a completed image, choose your target platforms, and download a ZIP file with correctly sized images for each platform.
